Design & development
Our engineers have a vast experience in landing gear design and development. Working in multifunctional teams, they ensure the optimal solution for the customer in terms of functionality, safety, reliability and durability. Manufacturing engineers are also added to the team to cover manufacturability and affordability issues. State of the art tools for CAD and CAE are being used for modeling, FEM analysis, dynamic simulation, fatigue calculations and ILS.

Test & qualification
As part of the qualification program, prototypes based on the preliminary or final designs are tested on our strength, fatigue, environmental and endurance test rigs. Our testing facility is completed by a drop test rig on which gears can be drop tested up to 22.5 tons with a vertical speed of up to 8 m/s.

Manufacturing & assembly
Of course, our manufacturing facility includes all conventional and CNC machines for milling, turning, grinding and deep hole boring and drilling landing gear components. Moreover, special processes like surface treatments, shotpeening and NDT's are in house and carry the required aerospace approvals. In a separate enclosed assembly area complete systems are assembled and hydraulically and functionally tested before being shipped to the customer.

Repair & Overhaul
Many customers around the world rely on Stork SP Aerospace for repair and overhaul of their landing gear. The repair & overhaul shop possesses it's own machines to ensure a short turn around time. For the same reason we also keep stock of consumables, rotables and long lead time items for the platforms that we support.
