Sheet metal
Stork Fokker’s experience with sheet metal led to development of advanced concepts for the production of aerospace parts.
|
Several principal areas of expertise have been established: Numerically Controlled (NC) stretch forming; High-pressure rubber-press forming; Chemical milling; NC contour milling NC profile machining; and Surface treatment. The use of sheet metal in fabricating aerospace primary structures provides a cost-effective application for both civil and military customers, especially in large thin panels used in the production of glassfibre-reinforced aluminium (Glare®) advanced materials.
