Research & development
Research and development (R&D), aimed at creating growth through innovative manufacturing technologies, has long been a key part of Stork Fokker aerospace strategy.
| In co-operation with industrial partners and academic institutes and universities, the company has focused on four areas: Glassfibre-reinforced aluminium fibre/metal laminate (Glare®); Thermoplastics; High-speed machining; and Automated assembly.
Glare® fuselage panels and thermoplastic wing leading edges are two examples of Stork Fokker’s technological contribution to Airbus and Boeing production programmes. |
