Thales Flycatcher
Stork Fokker is a risk-sharing partner in the Thales Nederland Flycatcher Mk 2 air-defence command-and-control system through its role as infrastructure provider. Flycatcher Mk2 is a Hybrid Weapon Control Centre, with inherent capabilities for target detection, threat evaluation, target tracking and weapon control for both.
| The Mk2 is equipped with a 3D surveillance radar and a dedicated tracking radar combined with Electro-optic sensors for day and night target acquisition and tracking. Flycatcher-Mk2 can control and/or interface with nearly all existing medium calibre AA guns and missile systems. This is the successor of Flycatcher Mk1, one of the most successful products of the past decades. An all weather (V)SHORAD weapon Control Centre, in service all over the world. More than 150 Flycatchers are in operation today and have proven the system's capabilities in many combat situations. | ||

Stork Fokker is responsible for design, qualification and production of Flycatcher Mk 2 technical and operator shelters. Technical shelters provide a level stable position for sensor suites, while operator shelters protect personnel and equipment. Stork Fokker’s infrastructure creates a suitable environment with appropriate climate and power provisions for Flycatcher Mk2. |
