Gulfstream V empennage
For Gulfstream Aerospace, Stork Fokker was invited to bid for design, engineering, tooling and manufacture of the empennage for the ultra-long-range Gulfstream V corporate-jet and it has been a risk- and revenue-sharing partner since 1996.
| Completed empennages, which employ Stork Fokker’s metal-bonding and composites technologies, are shipped to Gulfstream in Savannah, Georgia (USA), for final assembly.
Stork Fokker’s high-quality, co-operative partnership enabled Gulfstream to re-allocate internal resources while the US company also gained Stork Fokker capacity that is not limited to the Gulfstream V programme, since the Dutch firm now is involved in providing main landing-gear doors for the Gulfstream IV-SP; Stork Fokker also produces composites rudders for use on Gulfstream II, III, IV and V aircraft (and their derivatives). |
